Woke up to a cold house this morning, boiler three years old (my previous one lasted 20 yrs !!) Rang the 24x7 helpline no. of my insurers, a well known company, expecting the engineer to come today, just had a call, " be with you tomorrow" Time to change insures I think, I expected a vist today. Is it me ?
The paperwork does state "immediate assistance", perhaps I have misunderstood the cover, never mind, I do have some gas fires and very good friends that have rallied round. Thank you.
I know nelliebee inused to work for a eell known although crapoy boiler company and we always ha engineers on weekend call out for insured customers. Good luck..insist you have someone to assist today...lay it on thick lol...Unfortunately you have to act to get a decent response if it means telling a porky pie or two.
Thank you all, I did explain that I had been in hospital recently and could they be a bit more sympathetic but I think this fell on deaf ears ! I will sit and read the small print this afternoon and consider my next move. Just off to pay attention to Sunday lunch. thank you all so much,( will let you know how I get on.)
