Mic takes ½ a tablet 3 times a day. Of all the tablets he is on it's the only one that says avoid alcohol. Before the stroke he always had a beer with his dinner at 6 o'clock. Since he's been home he keeps asking for one. Up until now I have fobbed him off saying we don't have any.

My question is, can he have a beer with his dinner. The box also says "may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive or operate machinery Avoid alcoholic drink." As he can do neither from his bed can the poor bloke have a beer with his dinner. He gets little pleasures since the stroke.

let him have the beer
I agree.
I am so pleased to see people are saying yes,as I am sure that will raise his spirits and you won't have to tell porkies,so smiles all round.
I agree- out of 76 people in our care home, all on various meds, the only people who never had alcohol, were those who chose not to drink it.
