How Do I Block American E-Mails

Since buying an Apple Ipad, I'm being bombarded by junk e-mails from the States, sometimes up to 30 a day and getting sick of it. How can I stop them. My ISP is AOL.

Your ISP is irrelevant. It's who provides your email that's important. It's never wise to get your email through your ISP but (in the absence of any other information) I'll assume that's what you're doing.

but it's possible that you might need to configure the settings on the email app that you use on your iPad (and you've not told us which one you're using!).
