If you have not used the camera since the accidental delete .Very important to switch the camera off and remove the card.

I have just deleted my Olympus XD card and recovered it OK to test it. You need to be fairly knowledgeable about what Drive letter the card is when plugged into your PC and where you want it recovered to i.e "My Documents"

I was interested in the responses to this problem that can happen all too easily! Been there, done that and got the red face to prove it. Is there any way back if you HAVE usd the camera since..I presume NOT? Also..the PC Inspector Smart Recovery 4.44 is a super programme but where do you put the memory card if you don't have a slot in the laptop...can you attach the camera instead, as when you read off your pics? I use a Canon IXUSi

to Alzheimar. Yes just plug the camera in to your PC. It will allocate a drive letter. Use Smart Recovery to find deleted files on that drive number. It takes a while so an external power source to your camera may be a good idea.

Sorry missed the other bit of the question. If the card was not full you should still recover files as they may not have been overwritten yet.
