I went many many moons ago when I was about 14.

Loads to do, bike riding, roller skating, ten pin bowling, swimming etc.

From a kids point of view, I loved it.

I would assume that they still offer similar activities and probably lots more now.
I would recommend center parcs especially for the 8 year old if he is the active type. The little one may not have much to do other than the pool but there is a creche .If they are not keen on the butlins type thing though then center parcs aint a good idea,it's pretty much the same but more upmarket.
My kids love it and I have been several times over the years. We are taking my 15 year old this year and there is so much for him to do. I can enjoy the spa and pool as well, but it does get crowded unlike the advert portrays!
For me the idea is great since it is probably something new for the kids to spend their vacation, nature tripping and summer camps are actually the best. Try to ask the kids next time what interests them so you have an idea were to go to next summer.
