Sour Grapes Or What ?
14 Answers
about 3 days ago I watched Tipping Point a young lady won the £10,000 she was blonde and acted a bit dipsy and she said she had a baby called Archie any one remember her ? well I recognised her but could not remember where from then the penny dropped, she used to go to my bingo with her mum and whilst there about 2 or 3 years back she was on Who Wants to be a Millionaire with Chris Tarrant and she won a considerable amount on there [ enough to pay her mortgage off said her mum] at the time she worked for a tv company , I truly don't begrudge her the money but is it just too much of a coincidence or am I a cynic ?

It does seem that there are certain people who manage to get themselves on a lot of shows, they must just have that X factor personality that the producers are looking for I suppose.
A cross selection of my family & friends have applied for various shows over the years and none of them have heard any further after sending off the application forms. We must sound really boring on paper! LOL!

About a million years ago, i got an audition for The Sale Of The Century at the Picadilly Hotel in Manchester. Unfortunately i didn't get to meet the suave Mr Parsons, as it was his underlings who oversaw things.
Those being auditioned were split into groups of three, issued with a hand held buzzer and were then faced with 50 quick-fire questions. I was fastest on the buzzer 31 times, answering 28 correct. My two opponents buzzed about 8 times each. I did not get on the programme but i did recognise one of my opponents during the next series. Obviously i am not considered a suitable face for tv. Though i like to believe it was because i was just far too intelligent:-)
