A local radio station DJ has been on a bit of a hobby horse about crimes like this. And here, when one of the criminals is caught, he gets a suspended sentence. I guess Stephen Nolan will have something to say about this later today.

Id does seem a perverse judgement. Pleading guilty should affect length of sentence at most. Despicable crime. Makes one wonder at the judge's explanation of their decision.

Jesus wept - the sheer idiocy of this sentence and the flawed, rose-tinted, reasoning behind it defy all rational belief.

Stuff like this turns me from a reasonably moderate, humanitarian, 'tree hugging leftie' (© AoG and others 2009-2014) into a hanger/flogger/disembowler of the first water.
