Is it wise to buy a manufacturers reconditioned mini laptop from Ebay.with windows 7. I hesitate to go for windows 8 as there seems to be difficulties. My xp will be obsolete in April. Any advice would be helpful. thank you

Despite this perhaps being duplicate post, allow me to say that XP will Not become obsolete in April.

Microsoft is discontinuing support for XP but the operating system will continue to function. Providing therefore one has a reasonable Anti Virus programme installed, there should Not be any cause for concern.

There is nothing wrong with buying refurbished computer manufacturers they carry full warranty. You can buy brand new Windows 7 computers from HP at their store they are still building them as Microsoft has amended their cut off date allowing it to happen. Lenovo are still making them as well.
