My mattress size is double, but because it's memory foam and pretty thick, the fitted sheet I've got for it is always coming loose/off at the corners and doesn't fit down over the sides properly.
Would it work if I got a fitted sheet in a king size, or would I just end up with lots of loose material on the bed?
I realise I could get a big flat sheet to tuck right under, but I'm just wondering if the bigger fitted sheet would do the job, or would it end up looking messy?
King size wouldn't fit at all but an extra deep fitted double should. http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/dorma-350-thread-count-plain-dye-bed-linen-collection-extra-deep-fitted-sheet-284886 http://www.tesco.com/direct/tesco-deep-fitted-sheet-double-white/212-8101.prd Next, M&S, Debenhams - most stores sell these.
I can't understand why all bedsheet manufacturers don't put the mattress depth their fitted sheets are made for on their packaging. A few do, but they seem to be the exception. Daft, I call it.
you can get little attachments to hold the folds together - like elastic with clips, or do what i did and make 'corners' out of that stuff you use to stop rugs slipping - i just put them on the corner of the mattress, under the sheet and it rarely comes up
