General secretary of the Rail Maritime and Transport union Bob Crow has died aged 52
In a statement on its website, the union said: "It is with the deepest regret that RMT has to confirm that our General Secretary Bob Crow sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning.
"The union's offices will be closed for the rest of the day and the union will make further announcements in due course."

I did as well Sqad. I know its not popular to like these real lefty types these days but he called a spade a spade, and I rather appreciate that. No "New Labour" for him it seemed. I liked his appearances on Question Time, especially when the Tories put up some toffee-nosed representative at the same time.
He certainly defended his corner and was not afraid to express his views or have a fight :)
The only thing I really disliked about him was his instance upon remaining in a council house - given the scarcity of the housing stock, someone with his earnings should have moved out and freed up the house for someone in genuine need.
