I left a tampon in overnight by mistake - 8 hours longer than the maximum time you're supposed to leave them in for. Should i go to the doctors or anything or should i be ok?

I would just use a towel or pad for the rest of your period, and leave it at that.

If you start to feel unwell or develop a fever, then obviously see a doctor immediately, but TSS is pretty rare.

I agree with lady - you would have known by now.I also agree with Eels - good advice - wear a pad.Not so discreet but at least you know its there.Its a pain - but its only a couple of day out your month - and as I type this I think why us?

Thought i'd come and report back - i haven't felt ill at all. I assume that amount of time isn't enough to cause anything serious. Must be more careful in future...
