A international flight got delayed by 10hrs.Now , i am aware as this is not a EU flight or travelled from EU to non eu country and therefore compensation is not applicable.
But the tickets were return and the original departure was from UK - so does the actual tickets make any difference ? or is it strictly where the single (return)flight departed from ?
Sorry if it sounds a bit confusing!

It's the actual journey that counts - not where the ticket was bought

If you are delayed flying from a non-EU country to an EU country then the compensation regulations apply. The ticketing doesn't matter

You may well have trouble enforcing this though.
Actually - forget that. Not sure I'm right

ok thanks.Yes need to know whether ticketing makes a difference(which would help) or as i suspect it is based on flight only.
It will only be the return leg ticketing that is relevant - not the outbound journey

Of that I'm reasonably confident
