My wife insists on buying what i think is an expensive butter (buttery taste). We both take Cholestoral tablets so i personnally cannot see any advantage on buying Flora pro-activ .What do you abers think.
I meant to say: "Whether this is down to using Flora Pro Activ I just don't know, but at the moment I'm not prepared to take the risk of discontinuing it".
I often buy the expensive marge, mainly as a precaution since my father died of a heart attack, and I follow his high blood pressure condition. That said it may be overkill as my cholesterol readings are always quite low.
We have just switched back to proper butter after seeing a few TV articles about the nasties in the spreadable/low fat spreads that put us right off. I invested in a £18.99 insulated butter dish from Lakeland which arrived yesterday and it has kept the butter cool (out of the fridge) and at a spreadable consistency. :)
well you can take your pick-flora or statins.GPs love to stuff patients with more pills.I have never seen any side effects from a or Benecol.I use Flora and my fasting cholesterol is 4.1.I do run 5 miles every other day which helps.I am 59 today
my aunt lived to the grand old age of 91.At the age of 89 her doctors started giving her more and more tablets(she did not take anything before then),18 months later she was dead-makes you think.
Do not get me wrong I am not against taking tablets for the right reason but there seems to be an over indulgence these days by GPs with regards to prescribing tablets.I think there needs to be a more holistic approach if one is available.
