Calico cats are indeed fairly rare, Emmie, but they're not a specific breed:

(Since they're nearly always female it would be extremely hard to breed them anyway!)

I've no idea really but there's a tabby cat (that I simply call 'Tabs') who sneaks in here for a meal sometimes. I've no idea whether he/she is male or female (or whether he/she is neutered anyway) but it has crossed my mind that Tabs' coat does look rather like that of Tablo's ;-)
