Do you think USA and UK should get out of Iraq and Afghanistan?

Do you think it is time USA and UK left Afghanistan and Iraq. It has been a long time since all this fighting began and they are today in the same situation or if not worse situation than when they started.

What do you think?

It's an illegal occupation. Every dead soldier and every dead citizen was murdered by Blair and Bush. They should both be tried in the Hague, and i look forward to the day.

Loosehead - it's 100's of thousands of civilians in Iraq and Afganistan who have been "done to death". Sorry if we are boring you but some of us don't agree that murderers (Bush and Blair) should be allowed to get away with it just because it's old news.

Loosehead you have really not explained anything...you have convinced us that you think you are right and that you think everyone else is wrong...but face it Bush and Blair are killers and deserve their day on the docks. And for every Iraqi home that was destroyed, for every innocent Iraqi that was killed, in our name by bombs dropped from 32,000 feet in the air, for every wedding party that was bombed, in their name and for their sakes and their memory, this debate should gone on until you apologists for murder are sickened by your acts and you see the light of the day.

What I'm saying is that whatever your opinion we've discussed this time and time again and I for would prefer not regergitate my already well known view. For what it's worth Wickerman my initial comment was to the questioner.

Dom I am not an apologist for murder just because I think you are wrong. I am a realist, you can make an omlette without breaking eggs. You only see the anti Western side you never see any good in your own side, what has happenned to you to hate us so much? how can you live in a society you clearly loathe? Presumably you would prefer your mate Saddam to still be at large gassing villages and filling mass graves with dissenters.

There are subjects that I feel strongly about and I don't keep raising the same question to stir up the same sh1t again and again.

The reason for going into Afghanistan was to overthrow the taliban and bring to justice osama bin laden right after the twin towers attack so, I agree we should have gone in. That said, the war in Iraq was not jusified at all, in fact it was and still is illegal. I belive that blair lied to us about supporting the Americans, do you really think that he didnt ask if the weapons that could be deployed in 40 mins could target the UK or the US? If he didnt lie to us then he was tricked or conned by the yanks, either way he doesnt deserve to be prime minister

Loosehead, why does anti Iraq war sentiments have to be equated to aniti west or anti western society. I love the freedoms of our society and love the chance that it gives you and me to discuss this issue. Saddam was an evil man and he is rightly in the docks for what he did. But it was for his people to remove him, it was for the mightier of the 2 sides in Iraq to prevail, it was their problem. We went in for the wrong reasons, the US because they had a score to settle and oil wealth to gain, we beacuse we had a poodle in charge and a gutless shameful main opposition party. No, the western society and its ideals is what myself and more than 60% of the population who disagreed with the war stand for and if any of our rights are eroded myself and hopefully you will be there to defend it.

The way loosehead speaks he definately has an inferiority complex, just like hes friends BUSH and Blair. Why is West better than East. Why is west always right?

Why cant right be right and wrong wrong. West have done many good things but at the end of the day if the money from the west was shared out then poverty would be no more. Also East have done bad as well but Saddam is the creature of the West.

Personally I feel we should get out, as it makes us look even bad if we continue fighting for something we cannot be a success in and win. Then changing the whole objective of why we are there, every couple of months. What do politicians think we are stupid?

If we found Osama by now then I would have said to continue. The whole reason we are in Afghanistan are to find him. It has become embarrasing the worlds best armies, UK and USA cant find one man. How pathetic is that.

West is good but they do not control the world. There should always be a nuetral body who is not affected by other countries and is NUETRAL.

Yes,the UK should pull its troops put of Iraq and Afghanistan,not because of terrorists being killed,or any other reason other than the fact that our troops are poorly prepared and more importantly very poorly equipped,they hardly have the resources to defend these islands let lone fight a foriegn war.

Oh and before anyone shouts in protest,I refer to Redcaps killed because they did not have a radio to call for help,soldiers killed because there were not enough flack jackets for all ect.

Try joining the Army and find out for yourself marshman, we serve all over the world from the arctic to the jungle and desert or NW Europe, or at least I did and I only left 2 years ago. front line troops ie infantry, engineers and gunners get flak jackets aplenty, RTR (royal tank corps) are surrounded by 56 tonnes of steel to protect them so in theory they dont need them. Also radios that work in temporate climates IE europe do not work so well in desert climates as we found out in gulf war 1
