I Am Wondering If Sqad Is Around? If You Can Just Give Me Some Info As I Am Puzzled.?

21 year old girl has just died suddenly. But after the autopsy they have now sent her heart away to another hospital for further tests.? I was just wondering why they would do that and what can they find that the others cannot. ? Many thanks

Sqad

There are many causes of sudden death in young adults all of which could be diagnosed by a competent NHS Consultant pathologist and the only explanation i can give is that the Pathologist requires a second opinion before the death certificate is issued.

I suppose that one of the commonest conditions is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, thickening of the heart muscles, often in the news because ot often affects individuals during sporting events.

Apart from a second opinion, I can offer no further explanation.
