So you have never visited Devon or Cornwall to have a cream tea down here, Elina.....tut! There is virtually warfare between us as to whether the jam or the cream goes first on to the scone, the heathens across the Tamar putting the cream underneath as their butter is crap.
No never. I like the idea of them, I'm probably of thpinion the cost is over the top & that I could replicate one easy myself. It's a nice indulgence though. Iv'e seen cream teas advertised in the big hotels here.
Can get them down here for around £3-4......Callestick farm for example (they of the ice cream fame - that is too sweet for me, their scones are pretty good and their cream too).
Brother nearly ready for returning by the way DT, he will stay with another brother. Unfortunately, he wont be returning to work that's official now, we guessed as much but then to be officially told is upsetting.
Well that's it, Elina, one step forward (out of hossie) and one step back (the job). Could he do some voluntary work in the interim? A caring role may be very apropos and help him turn the corner - just a thought....
