Are halogen heaters more economical than conventional heaters?

What do you mean conventional?

No they aren't, they are the same and this question has come up before (did you check?). All electic heaters convert 100% of the electrical energy paid for into heat. Some produce radiant, others convection heat, but its still the same amount of Joules. It could be argued that fan heaters are marginally less efficient since a small amount of electrical energy goes into turning the fan.
Just to clarify: They are all the same but a fan heater is different.
