Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare After John Dies

I have no clue what to do. I looked up answers on what and where to go after john dies, people say to go to blackwater and talk to a stranger to get them to say who killed me. I don't even know if that's right. I have also been told to go find and kill the guy who gets the mask. Also I haven't really been paying attention to blackwater and it has been lost twice already so there is no one there to question. I really need some help. PLEASE!
