Better have a multi language direction board then.

/// In other words, all children are to be treated equally and the needs of all of them are to be met – with the exception of those who are native speakers of English. ///

/// They will be treated as non-native speakers on the grounds, it seems, that this will make things more manageable for the school, even if it is not in the interests of the pupils concerned. ///

/// What clearer example could there be of discrimination against a school’s ethnic minority? ///

Languages are learnt at home, preferably from a young age. This isn't the place of schools to teach it as a foreign language. My stepsister moved to France at 14, was sent to a French school and was fluent very quickly, from not knowing the language at all. She didn't have much choice...
I agree Pixie. English children in Spanish schools usually do well - in fact one I know is top of her year for Spanish!
but that isn't happening, those with little or no English speakers are coming to Britain, as my friend has said she does see the problems, because the intakes are high, mainly from Poland, Lithuania, and its not just every so often, they are a fairly small junior school, the English speakers as far as she explained are suffering as a result.
I like many on here go abroad on our jollies, I try to learn / speak their language, ( But at my cost) what next? are we allowed to eat british food? or does that offend some pillock's, what the hell is wrong with this place?
