seven sisters rd incident

does anyone know what happened on seven sisters rd outside finsbury park at about 5.30 this afternoon. the police had closed of the rd and stopped all the traffic and an ambulance was at the scene but there didnt seem to be a road traffic accident? what went on?

Not an actual answer I'm afraid but my students were asking me the same thing. I didn't see it but maybe an emergency procedure practice?

pappasmurf, i apologise if i have offended you by showing an interest in my daily environment and freely admit to being intrigued as to why i was delayed in my journey home from work. i did not stand with the crowds that were observing the event but did my best to walk through them to get home. as i later found out, the incident was the result of a young man being stabbed by a group of teenagers. he is presently on life support in hospital. i know this because he is a nephew of a collegue at work. the police have yet to make an arrest as they have no 'rubbernecking' witnesses. but again, thank you for passing judgement.

Well, if goldenboy was a politician, all would be well and he'd be portrayed as caring and sympathetic, as come any disaster, they are there pronto, for a good gawp!
