Velvet And Chiffon Scarves

I have three or four of these, bought abroad, and they are so pretty, but does anyone know how to stop them curling up down each side please? I have sewn a half inch seam down on one of them, and I folded an extra wide one in half and stitched it together lengthways but still they hang like a sausage around my neck within 5 minutes :0( such a shame. Any suggestions gratefully received -rosy

could you stitch some beads to the edges to weight them
