Gall Bladder Problems
6 Answers
Hi,
Monday I had to go to the Dr with terrible pains in my upper tummy and he said I had cacification on my gall bladder and I would have to have it out.
He gave me some Zapain for pain, Buscopan for sickness and Ciprofloxacin for infection.
Zapain made me sick and dizzy so he changed that to Zydol (not taken any yet).
So my querie is, I am still taking the Ciprofloxacin for infection but the pain has gone so am not taking anything for that now.
Has it got better, so I won't have to have an operation to remove the gall bladder, or is it just having a rest?
Thank you

I think he said calcification based on my other medical history. But he did say the scan would sho more of what the problm is.
The pain has gone so was wondering if it is still a problem or is just playing possum?

I agree about the pain if it's gallbladder related though not sure about what the calcification thing is, I had gallstones and my gallbladder got infected, went nasty and had split by the time I had it out.
I know some people who just had one incidence then nothing since, though, as I say, that was gallstones.
I agree about the fatty food and would also avoid large meals too, anything that is more of a pain to digest. Nice simple non-fatty food in small amounts is good, I find chicken and rice good as an easy on the tummy meal.
I had buscopan for the spasms too and used codeine phosphate and diclofenac to help with the pain of attacks.
