Does anyone know how often if at all the lambda sensor (oxygen sensor) needs changing?


I have a Ford KA 1.3i with the enduras engine if that is relevant. Thanks in advance

It shouldn't need replaced until it goes faulty. This is checked at the MOT so you don't need to worry about it until it fails, hope this helps!

My Volvo is 14 years old and has 160K miles with the original Lambda sensor. As the previous answer states - if it passes the MOT and you have no engine management warning lights then it's OK.


If the vehicle is well maintained wrt fuel and ignition systems you should have no problems.They are supposed to have a limited life but I was advised that if it's not broken, don't fix it !
