I always get my shopping delivered on a Sunday. Got the usual email today saying that my shopping would be here between 11 and 12 and duly got on with the stuff that needed doing. 1.20 and still no shopping, rang them, on hold for 20 bloody minutes, to be told that my order had been cancelled!! (Payment didn't go through for some reasons). What I'm really hacked off about is that they didn't contact me to tell me (plus the fact that I then had to go bloody shopping). Grrr!!!
Jno, to be fair, this is the first time it has failed. It would have be ok if they had contacted me to let me know (my bank's system seems to fail a lot), it's the time we all wasted hanging around waiting for it to be delivered that has made me cross.
Not only that but you are not tempted to buy unnecessary things as you do when you are browsing round a supermarket. I use Tesco and find them perfect.
yeah, but that's the thing, Scrivens is right - well, not right about laziness, but about the price you pay for putting yourself in the hands of others. Mostly it works. Sometimes it goes wrong and wrecks your day.
Do whatever works for you Sher. I loathe shopping, do much present buying online but when I have grocery shopped that way realised that if I did not walk to the shops I would probably not go out. Lugging shopping home either walking or on public transport is a bore. So is staying home all day!
I go shopping at Aldi and for bits and pieces but the weekly food shop is so huge, the trolley was almost over flowing. Almost needed a degree in Tetris to get it all in the flipping trolley.
