If you are asked what your weaknesses are, what is a good answer?

Tell them what your weaknesses used to be and then tell them what you've done about it. e.g.: "I hope that I've not got any major weaknesses. A few years ago I probably wasn't as good at listening as I was at talking, but I've consciously worked on that and I believe that I'm now a far stronger team player because of it"

Along the lines of Chris but perhaps a bit more honest I'd say I don't have any weaknesses but do have some areas where I recognize I'd benefit from a development opportunity (eg running a large team, presentations, mentoring etc). It very much depends what type of job it was. A managerial role would require a different approach to a till operator for example
