What I see that people say nobody consulted me about religion and so knew nothing about religion, But do realized that it would not be difficult to adopt which required no significant changes in my daily conduct. I was faithful to my religion, as I always went to Mass sometime.
So despite belonging to a religion had not made a conscious choice in either case.
The choice was made for him by others. His experience has been repeated countless times over the centuries.
In fact, relatively few of the billion of people alive today have made a deliberate choice in the matter of religion. Their religion is usually something that was inherited, much like their appearance, their traits, or the home where they live,So for you is by chance, by long-forgotten quirks of history, and by place of birth.
Or Karl Marx, whose writings would have profound influence in coming decades, boldly stated: “I want to increase the mind’s freedom from the chains of religion.
And all he perceived, however, were simply the leaves, branches, and trunk of atheism.

Yes,hundreds of millions of people in Communist lands are being systematically taught that God does not exist, and indoctrination is being stepped up.
Atheism will be taught more intensively at party training centers and in special courses for teachers, doctors and journalists, so the end must be near, good new for some.

Yes naomi24 from being children surely we are all indoctrinated into the religion/beliefs of our family/schools. Which is surely a type of brainwashing, however as we mature luckily most of us can "see the wood for the trees". Yet we all need to be taught right from wrong, just not by the zealots in society.
The difficulty with religious zealots is that they think that being taught right and wrong as a child is directly related to being stuffed full of religious mumbo-jumbo. Noah and his flood is plainly nonsense, and I don't care what any bit of old tat from 2000 years ago that says its any different !
