Ear Congestion

I can hear a rushing sound in both ears and they feel blocked and I cant hear to well they have been like this for 3 days any ideas what would cause this?

I currently have a stinking cold/virus. My right ear is blocked and I'm struggling to hear properly out of it. It can be sore at times as pressure seems to build up.

How are you feeling otherwise?

Dont think so anne Mr Fruits had a bit of a cold though wondered if it could be the start of a cold but in the ears, if that's possible

The " rushing sound" is the perception of blood flowing through swollen blood vessels in the ear secondary to either a cold or an allergy.
The deafness is due to either fluid in the middle ear or blockage of the tube that goes from the back of the throat to the ear.

Nip to the chemist and buy a decongestant nasal spray
