Irrational Dislikes....

I've been catching up on Masterchef and am quite unreasonably irritated by Greg Wallace wearing a ring on his middle finger.

It is quite bizarre and irrational but I don't like rings worn on the index or middle fingers.

What irrational dislikes do you have?

I'm with Greedyfly - when strangers sneeze, especially if it's more than once, I get really irritated, which is irrational.

My other handkerchief-related peeves are -

men who sneeze and never carry a hankie or a tissue - what's wrong with you, you're a grown-up for God's sake!

(usually) women who blow their noses, and then peep into their hankie - what, do you think you've got pound coins up your nose? Stop it!

Oddly enough, the present Mrs Hughes never ever sneezes just once, it's a minimum of at least three, usually five times, and that doesn't irritate me in the slightest, because I love her.

I cannot pick up used tissues, if I find one in the house that I know isn't mine it has to stay where it is until Mr Cake comes home.

Andy - I'm the same unfortunately, I sneeze at least five times in succession. I even annoy myself!

Nice to see some Meccano fans on here ! I played and played and played with my No. 1 set, so much so that Dad had to repaint some pieces !

I bought my nephew a Airfix Spitfire kit for his 9th birthday, as a way of weaning him off his computer games ( he is 14 now and still plays these games, as the total exclusion of any other activity) He opened the box and looked a bit bemused. "But you have to make it Uncle Mike ! "

He didn't really understand that making it and then painting it was the whole point of having an Airfix kit. We made it together and I think he enjoyed himself, but he has never asked for another one !

As I was only 7 when he died I never did. I was working in his old constituency of Ebbw Vale before Xmas an some of the older people had stories to tell. A great man.

Not intentionally, but after thirty-four years together, the number impinges itself on my subconcious, with no effort from me!

I sneeze a stupid amount of times. By the time I've finished sneezing I look like I have a heavy cold...

I'm with everyone on the sneezes. Can't stand it. If OH sneezes once, I know there will be at least at four more, and he can't do it quietly, either. I leave the room now.
