Yesterday I visited an acquaintance who is an excellent baker and she offered me a slice of a freshly made, gorgeous looking gateau. She cut a huge slice and I said it was too much for me so she said she would have that piece and cut me a smaller slice. She then licked the knife clean before cutting me a slice. There was no way on earth I could eat it. Luckily there was a knock at the door and when she went to answer it I scooped the gateau into my handbag.
Have you any idea how far a squidgy piece of gateau spreads inside a handbag?
Would you have eaten it? (the cake, not the handbag lol)

dont be so tight, craft. people have all kinds of yukkie things in their gobs.
And people nowadays are too fussy Svejk, and far too concerned about over-cleanliness..........
If I would be happy to snog this person I would have eaten the cake, but if I'm not happy to swap spit...
well i agree with that^ but there are limits ;-(
both of you ;o)
throw the bag away mrs overeverclelan (even people from yorkshire do that occasionally) and go buy another one from your local charity shop. i wouldn't have been able to eat the cake either but i'm not so polite (not being from yorkshire i go for honest speaking) and i would have told her why.
I'd have eaten it too Crafty! But then I'm a greedy pig.
That will teach you not to have taken the first piece offered. You really wanted the big piece but ended up with nothing more than a mucky handbag.

Craft, I have standards you know!
Admittedly they are fairly low most of the time.......
