Have The Chinese Found The Black Box Recorder From Flight Mh370?

Sky News are saying there are strong indications that they have but I can't find anything more on t'internet. Has anyone seen further news?

They are saying that they have found a signal, but can't confirm it is from MH370.

My question is, if it's not from the missing plane, what is it from?

Brief mention on the radio news this afternoon. No doubt awaiting confirmation. If true, it will be the most astonishing luck.

Surely they will now saturate that area looking for debris and to confirm the ping is from MH370?

Scroll down through the text to a highlighted section, which will give the latest news. Below this are maps and graphics, and below that are comments, most of which are from those in the airline industry.
This latest info comes from China's state run news agency.

An expert on Sky News has just been asked what the chances of it being the missing plane and he's said there is nothing else it could be! Dark there now though so probably no more news until tomorrow. I do hope they're right.

Latest news is that the Chinese vessel detected the pinger signals twice, but from two different locations 1.2 nautical miles apart from each other. The vessel ADV Ocean Shield also reports hearing a pinger signal, but it's 300 nautical miles away from where the Chinese are!! The mystery deepens.

Seems the voice recorder and the data recorder are both fitted with pingers. Could explain the 1.2 nautical mile difference between the two sets of signals received by the Chinese vessel.

I heard on Breakfast News that Australians have found signal from black box but didn't find exactlu black boxes yet. I think they need at most 2 days to get it now.

This becomes more curious every day. The Australian ship, Ocean Shield, has detected two blips but this is not in the same area that the Chinese heard and HMS Echo is investigating. So they are now investigating four blips where there should only be two.

The Australians held the signal for well over 2 hours first time and about 20 mins second time but have very sophisticated equipment, unlike the Chinese. So we'll see!

If it's in the area the Australians are investigating, the sea is 2 miles deep. They do have a robot submarine with them which may be possible to deploy if signals are confirmed.

SOme good expert views on lensing effects of water - which means that it is difficult to see where it comes from - and will also carry it further.
