Not sure about Sharia law as much as crass stupidity on behalf of the police officer responsible for bringing the charge, and for a judicial system that does not laugh such a case out of court.

Anyway, apologies to AoG - I had not realised they had posted on this before - any further comments should probably be directed to his thread, as Baldric mentions.

No problem LG it is easily done and it happens all the time, but I do hope that you get a more favourable response than I got with mine, because I unfortunately happened to use the headline "And Some Think Our Police Are Bad"? and some couldn't see this was just a throw away remark but took it literally, which in turn took the story down numerous examples where our own police have slipped up.

One (or at least myself) have to be so careful how one word things.
