Ready or not, the results are coming.

This week's MM Links game has now ended and I can reveal that 'Lady Jill's' selected links were:

FLIGHT RECORDER
WING COLLAR
CLOUD BURST
SOFT LANDING

All were found but by how many of you?

Before I go into details, I would like to welcome Modeste to the game as a new player and say good luck for the future - but please be aware that we never have three-letter links in this version of the game. Regular players could do well to remember that as well since there ave been one or two slip-ups in recent weeks. Also, our maximum length is 8-letters (NB Eccles).

There were several possibilities for all of the links so guesses were thinly spread and not helped by the fact that popular guesses were not the ones that scored.

In fact, this ranks amongst the lowest scoring games I have had to score. Easy on the abacus but tough on the emotions as I really like to see you all do well.

Although it was tough, all links were found fairly early on.

Grannydi leaped straight in with the location of the FLIGHT RECORDER (for 2 points) but sadly most of you failed to locate it apart from roopower, andres and Magyar who later picked up singles.

Beejay1124 then experienced a CLOUD BURST for 2 points

Two minutes later, Aquagility had a SOFT LANDING in the muds of the Thames Estuary (2 points)

The final link of WING COLLAR survived undiscovered for nearly 50 minutes until Elspeth remembered that her husband once wore a black-tie dress-shirt to some function or other. 2 points for that.

Sadly that is it.
All point scorers have been mentioned above.

At this point I usually declare a HOTSHOT of the week but under the circumstances, I think all scorers deserve to be HOTSHOTS.
so CONGRATULATIONS to Grannydi, Beejay1124, Aquagility, Elspeth, roopower, andres and Magyar

Better luck next week when 'Lady Jill will have recovered from her jet-lag and will hopefully be in a more generous mood.

Until next weekend then
Same time (9am)
Same place (Q&P)
Happy Linking

And for those of you wishing to know how I got on in our local Photo Soc. Annual Exhibition I shall redact my comments on the judge and just say that I only managed a 'Commended' for one print and the other three came nowhere.
Freefall... ...
Many congrats to the scorers and thanks, as ever, to gen2.

Sorry Brenden, I didn't see you there on Page THREE!
One point for you too for WING COLLAR.

That must be the first time for ages that the entries have extended to a third page and so I didn't see it when writing my report.
So somebody found the flight recorder then.
Thanks gen2 and well done the scorers - I failed yet again
Bad luck gen2. Still, there's always next year's "Countryfile£ calendar.
Oh dear, that wasnt a good start, never mind, there's always next week - thanks Lady Jill and gen2

Sorry the judge wasnt impressed gen2 (sounds like the feeling was mutual !)
sorry folks, will try to be more generous next week. Going to sleeeeeep now.
