Remaniscing today about what it was like when I was a kid ...... bob's for the gas , bob's for the lecky , party telephone lines , outside toilets that used to freeze over ! a bob for the television which always used to run out at the exciting bit ... oh and a cranking handle on me dads car ....does that make me a old fogey ???

Kids of today they never had it so good.........

When colour tellys first appeared- + those who had them put them clearly visible from the road, + never shut their curtains!
I also recall that cars had little windows in the doors, just in front of the main windows, quarterlights, I think they were called. It was great because all the people who smoked in their cars just flicked the ash out of it and the wind took it away.
Mind you, they were the windows that were forced open in later years when people broke in to cars !
Just checked on here again as it shows on my saved page that there are actually 402 answers. Has the counter stopped working???

Mind you, having said that- I've just bought a new gas cooker, and there wasn't one with an eye-level grill to be had anywhere! xx
Remember the game Jockey's Knock at grown up parties ? ( similar to Postman's Knock but with more Horseplay) LOL.
