A month ago it seemed a great idea to have my two youngest grandchildren for a week of their school holidays. They're 9 and 6. Washing machine is on every day and so far I've had a small bottle of coke spilled on my carpet, a cup of tea spilled on the sofa, and a water filled balloon spilled on my bedroom carpet. Must have ghosts, because it certainly wasn't either of them who did it?? They bring a variety of friends in and I seem to be expected to feed and water them all. Was left with a neighbour's 8 year old today as my darling grandaughter told her mum I had said I'd look after her while she went shopping? Ah well, Saturday will soon be here and I'll probably miss them so much when they've gone home.
Mum and dad only lived about a hundred yards from the school and the kids aways went there for cake and drink until they were picked up.Mum used to go crazey as they'd bring their mates and the house was full of kids for an hour or so but if for some reason they didn't come she was nearly as bad worrying about them.
Lol maggiebee good for you. It will probably take a week to get back to normal after that. They will love you for it and their friends will think you are cool too. One of my granddaughter's friend still sends me cards.
