Vinyl To Cd
9 Answers
I have a turntable with a USB slot to download music to my computer. The software with it is basic and one side of a LP is saved as a file and the other side as another file, which means if I copy to CD I need two CDs for each LP. Can anyone recommend better software?

Is the software you've got Audacity? (It's what's most commonly provided with USB turntables). If so, you simply need to join the two files into one: http://manua l.audacityte am.org/o/man /faq_editing .html#How_do _I_combine_t wo_files_int o_one_longer _file.3F Otherwise mp3DirectCut will do the job:...

Why can't you copy more than one file to a CD? You can certainly do it as mp3's. I imagine you can convert them to wav files and copy more than one to a CD.
BTW I've been told that "Audacity" is very good and is free to download.

I think what the OP means is that he is using a turntable that converts the tracks to digital MP3s, and that of course he can only convert one side of the disc at a time, so Buenchico's first answer is the answer he needs using Auda city to join up the two sides, and then he use media player to transfer all the MP3s to one CD.
