Can anyone answer the following questions?

1. Who locked Kate in the library?

2. Who stole the cat and then tortured it down the phone?

3. Did the friend live or die after being hit by the hit and run?

I ws only half watching it but i felt a few things were left unanswered.

but also - who knocked the friend down in the hit and run ? i had drunk some wine before watching it and felt confused by these questions !!

I assumed it was Peter that hit her as when Miller said there were witnesses he got worried and killed him

I was only half watching too. I think Peter killed the cat because when Kate was in his flat there was a bowl of (what looked like) cat food on the floor with a fork lying next to it.

Peter stole the cat as he rang her and asked how she was and she heard her cat being tortured and knew it was him !

I too wondered if the friend lived - they never told us !

I just assume it was Peter who locked her in the library.
