One of the simplest ways, which doesn't involve messing about with your existing hi-fi is to buy the Bush MTT1 turntable. It has a built-in pre-amp (works with both hi-fis and midi systems if you want) and plugs into your sound card. Only about 50 or less - it was even reviewed in What Hi-Fi magazine! Otherwise you will need to get a pre-amp for an existing turntable eg the Pro-Ject or one from Maplin. Look at the Bush here as a start (Comet used to sell it):-

Failing that, some versions of Audio Cleaning Lab come with connections for a turntable (but no pre-amp?)
