Are these no longer available ? If so ,why not ?
No chemists ,electrical stores or dept. stores in Liverpool area have them.
Does anyone know where i can get one?

Probably not available because a hot water bottle would be just as (in)effective.
Not seen one for ages. My parents used to have an IR/UV lamp though. But IR is just heat, won't you can as much from an electric fire, or applying deep heat or that sort of thing ?

what have you sprained? generally R.I.C.E with your choice of painkiller is the best treatment. Rice stands for Rest, Ice, Compress, and Elevate.
Heat lamps do B all, no better than a wheat pack or a hot water bottle.
