just have to say that after 22 years our candy automatic is still going strong apart from a small dent in the front there's not a mark or bit of rust on it it has never broke down at all and never needed any spares and used at least once week, bless it,lol.it the most reliable thing we've ever bought
You must have been lucky with the one you got as Candy is on the list of the 10 worst washing machines for reliability. I just found this as well
Exploding Candy & Hoover Washing Machines
In recent years there have been many documented examples of
Candy & Hoover washing machines (models with fast spin cycles) "Exploding".
They are so badly built - the fast spin-cycle is too much for them -
and they actually tear themselves apart!
SOME newer machines are built with flimsier parts...our two year old Miele has a full 10-year warranty and Miele build them to last over 20 years.
Downside...it DID cost just on a grand!
The reliability of domestic appliances can depend upon where they are made.
Candy is a privately owned company and its appliances are manufactured in Italy, France, Spain, Czech Republic, Russia, China, Turkey, Iran and Uzbekistan.
