the cutting edge?
Any information available about Axe? Not the metal band that has been around seemingly forever, but a UK lineup from the late Sixties with a female singer. I believe the CD for their album had on the label the sound was a cross between early Fairport Convention and Cream. I have also heard about a recent release called "Live 1969": not very good sound quality, but an interesting historical collection of covers, like from the Grateful Dead.

The set includes covers of material by Jefferson Airplane, Canned Heat, Neil Young and others, and it is released on CD on the Kissing Spell label, so usual outlets should supply. the current whereabouts of the line-up remain a mystery - possibly a band casualty of evolving times and fashions.
