I have a message in my spam box from 'ggoglenotifier' which seems from the headline to be telling me that I've lost two emails. I haven't opened it yet as I haven't heard of it before, but is it genuine?

As far as I know, Google Notifier is obsolete. Consequently, I think that you have received a Phishing E/mail.

Check the email address of the sender by hovering your mouse cursor over the sender's name. If a different address appears then you will be certain that it is an item to be binned immediately.
