Stupidly said I would do a rhyming treasure hunt and now see it as a point of honour to complete the damn thing. Still have eight clues to do and have got 'writers block' - it's getting tough to make up rhymes about road signs (which are mainly about dogs not crapping (like they can read)). Arrrgghhh!!!

Twinkle twinkle little star
These stars show how clean we are
One's at the bottom and five's at top
How many stars has the fish & chip shop got?

The treasure hunt is for seven kids aged 10 to 5, led by my 13 year old over a very small area , it's getting a bit taxing now .
What places would you like them to find ?
I know the world is full of "if onlys" but I had had kept the rhymes I used for Queenie when she was small I'd be able to give you a hand - our hunt was all over our house things hid in the washing machine, or in the bathroom, or on the mat where the post landed that sort of thing if you think it would help I could try to invent some but I need a wee bit more info, in your house, garden that sort of thing
Whats black and white and read all over - for your local paper shop

It's all a bit tenuous really, as it's based on things that are not going to move between now and when they do the hunt. They have to solve one to get the next clue with the prize being in the garden of the gran of the other kids.
think we'd need a very good idea of what's around in the hunt area before we could come up with something relevant to your particular hunt.

It's pretty dull, mostly dog *** signs. Though I had an inspired 'verse' about solar panels - oh, I live a wild life :(
anyone who can be inspired by solar panels is alright in my book - doubt I could have come up with something
All I can come up with are based in the house - like the ones I did for Queenie some 20 odd years ago
Question Author
I give you ode to a solar panel -

This one's tricky and not much fun
Your looking for something to do with the sun
Upon a roof you will be able to see
A way to capture the sun's energy

My ones about the poop and scoop your dog *** and the fine for you dog *** are award winning!
verrry interesting about the doggy doodahs Sher, like the solar panel one

Don't suppose you have a drinking fountain nearby? Just off the top of my head, playing with words
Starkle starkle little twink
where's the next clue? Have a think
you're thirsty and far from home
where do you go to have a drink?

Just thought it could be a pub or a café
Why don't you provide the eight locations and something relevant about them?
Question Author
Wasn't expecting any help, more condolences - bit too random for help. It's mostly road signs, etc.
DTC could probably write you sonnets, with illustrations too... but you'd need to say what the subjects are.
