or kitten but realise this is not possible at the moment. I have gone over it in my mind and know that getting it to the vet for jabs or anything that may go wrong may not be possible when it needs help, so I have befriended a few local cats. I feed them left over fish and meat, give them a stroke and even a cuddle to the friendly ones. I have never let them in to the house. Today some woman who I've never seen before gave me a right mouthful for talking to her cat. Even the cat ran away. When I had cats I loved it when people took an interest in them. Just a sad rant really.

I am one of those nutters who can't help but talk to every cat I see...even with dog in tow. No one has yelled at me yet....;-)
That's the cat owner's problem, then, jeza - no harm done at all on your part. Think no more of it.
If I see a cat I usually talk to it and give it a little stroke.
think about a rescue cat they come ready neutered & inoculated and most rescue animals are grateful and pay you back a thousand times for rescuing them.
Jeza, I would go for a rescue cat, there are so many that need loving homes, my rescue cat has no issues very loving, and still likes to play, you would spoil it rotten, which is great, and may help mic, cats can be very comforting for people, x
