Bake Off Cakes

NoM, I believe you may be looking for ideas for bake off cakes to make.
My youngest made a four tier rose and almond round battenburg cake when he was involved in a work place bake off...and he won! It looks so plain on the outside that I think the wow factor when it's cut into (quite apart from it being delicious cake) surprises everyone.
It's the bbc food website recipe he used x
