Oh I don't know - isn't it enough that he (they) have found a number of new ingenious ways of royally screwing us (even the Fabien society has confirmed the tax burden is greater under this executive), what with removing the cap on NI, the many many insidiuos stealth taxes, we now hear that they are considering VAT (in addition to stamp duty) on house purchases - and remember, all of these taxes are on income already taxed - it cannot be long before this party of, ahem, low taxation, will be hitting income tax again - either that or they'll come up with some other spurios way to con us - fresh air tax perhaps? So, yes, the speech was well delivered in his usual teflon manner, but it will not be long before comrade Brown is pick pocketing us again - and whilst we're on the subject, when will a Labour government learn that tax and spend, tax and spend does not work??? Well, I'm taking the cowardly way out, I'm leaving this sick and dying country for sunnier climes.
No wonder he's attracted Conservative voters over the years. 'You turn if you want to. The Lad is not for turning'
Scubaboy, hopefully, our family will be doing something similar one day...... as soon as possible.............
