Probably no problem as the previous answer suggests but some purists would probably say that if you keep the wine at a steady temperature throughout storage it will remain in best condition.

While the bottle is unopened, yes, no problem.
I do that all the time.

I totally agree that unopened bottles can be removed and rechilled; however, I am dealing with a hard headed friend and I would like to find the same information from some web sites devoted to wine. Can anyone help me find same?

I failed to mention the reason for my original question: Friend had a party and had filled the fridge with wine. Apparently either the wine drinkers didn't show up or my friend really overestimated and now there is little room in the fridge. I want to get the wine out of there but my opinion doesn't carry the weight of "seeing it in print" from a source such as wine bottlers, etc. Such info from a web site would be what it takes for me to reclaim the fridge. Help!
