cant find a job

i am 14 and would like to find a job! i do not mind what the job is as long i have a few extra pennies in my pocket. i have been round the market stools and they said they don't have anything for me i'm not sure where else to look. please help me find a job.

This would obviously be part time as you are still of school age,what about a paper round,milk round,working in a shop or generally check your local paper and newsagent windows there are always something for part time workers advertised.

Our local restaurants take on young people to wash up in the kitchens or wait on. If there are any farms nearby, try them, or garden centres/nurseries, etc. At this time of year anything agricultural tends to be busy: all the animals are out, the plants are growing, etc.

Also, if you have experience of young children, at 14 you're old enough to do babysitting. Put an advert in your local shop and say you can provide references (from your neighbours, who will vouch for your trustworthiness, etc). If you get a couple of regular customers, you can do quite well out of that - and you get free coffee, pop, etc and you can do fun things with the kids like play badminton at this time of year or make biscuits and buns in winter.

At 14 you are legally allowed to work 4hours aday (only certain times of the day - cant quite remember that part sorry) the best thing to do is go round to all the local cafes and restaurants and shops in your area (shops will often take on teens your age to cover lunch breaks on a sat) and explain that you are looking for a part time job... now is the time to start as people will be recruiting for the easter period
