Thank you Daisy, they are actually really well behaved and no problem.

I haven't actually asked anyone to babysit (not that I can think of anyone to ask). Just different priorities now I suppose.

So would i, sherr. Like you, i don't seem to have the time (or energy) now. Had a girls night at a friend's until 2am last night. Even though 3 of the children don't need"babysitting" as such, we need to know they're ok and home on time. We try to have a couple of weekends away through the year on our own.

We planned our retirement out years ago. Save a lot spend a little. Winters in the sun and summers having days out where ever we chose to go. Then real life got in the way and changed everything.

Even more unimaginable, ten years ago..........up at 6.00am on a Sunday, drinking tea and chatting to people I don't know via a little electronic gadget on my kitchen table.
