If I were to laminate a tenner, could the note be removed without causing any damage?

(Yes, I know it's an odd question.)

I don't think so. When I've tried to take paper out of laminator sheets before, it's always fallen to bits, it's sealed to the lamination sheets.

We usually send Mr P's cousin a tenner for his birthday each year. I try to make him work for it at the other end.

Toyed with the idea of laminating the envelope shut.

If you make sure the envelope is bigger than the money, then when the lamination is trimmed back to within the borders of the envelop, you'll end up with 2 parts of the envelope both laninated on one site and the intact money.

The machine at work laminates the whole thing, not just round the edges. Perhaps if the money was placed in a paper envelope first and then laminated the envelope would be destroyed but leave the money intact.

yes the laminator will only stick to the outer paper - you could laminate the envelope and the cash would be fine
